Description | Social workers validate, investigate, and assess reports of child abuse and neglect in accordance with state statute. Offers education to prevent child abuse and neglect of children in their homes, child day care and educational and institutional facilities. For severe instances of physical or sexual abuse, the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) may be utilized to conduct forensic interviews in a comfortable, child-friendly environment where children feel safe to share about their alleged abusive experience.
